JOY & a Preview of Our Christmas Celebrations

JOY & a Preview of Our Christmas Celebrations

This year, God has led us as a church to be digging deeper into the theme of joy. Not because our circumstances are all great (they aren’t!), but because even in tough times, we’re invited to discover contentment in Christ.

Think of Paul, imprisoned for proclaiming the gospel (bad circumstances, right?), saying to the church, “Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice” (Phil. 4:4).

The Christmas season is part of the “always” that Paul was talking about–it’s a season in which we are called to rejoice–to seek deeper joy than we’re currently experiencing.

So this Christmas we’ll talk a little bit about going deeper in the JOY that is found not only in Christmas songs (“joy to the world”), but in Christ Himself.

On Sundays leading up to Christmas (Dec. 6, Dec. 13, and Dec. 20), the sermons will focus on the joy of knowing and following Christ.
