Take It Home Questions:

On Sunday, Tim Tatum preached from Jonah 2 -- "a desperate cry, from a desperate guy, a lot like you and I." Here are a few questions for discussion:

  1. What are some ways that we can see the sovereignty of God in Jonah chapters 1-2?
  2. How does the truth of God's sovereignty over trials imapact how you view desperate times?
  3. By the end of this chapter, Jonah has learned in his life that "salvation belongs to the Lord" (Jonah 2:9). How have you seen in your own life that "salvation belongs to the Lord?"

Fighter Verse:

"Because you have made the LORD your dwelling place -- the Most High, who is my refuge -- no evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent." Psalm 91:9-10   (part of a plan for memorizing Psalm 91)

Coming Up:

  • Redeemer Kids Registration (Available Now) -- you can now register kids (infant through 5th grade) for Redeemer Kids here: http://redeemercom.org/childrensministry. The registration process helps us prepare to serve your family as effectively as possible.
  • Budget Discussion Meeting (August 13) -- this Sunday at noon, Greg Uhlenhopp (our deacon for financial stewardship) will lead a discussion of the proposed budget for the upcoming year. All members are invited to come and look through a detailed overview of the proposed budget, with opportunity to ask questions or offer specific feedback.
  • Kickoff Sunday (August 27) -- as we begin our new year of Redeemer Kids classes, and begin a new sermon series, we hope this Sunday will be energizing for church members and a great opportunity to invite those without a church home.
