Take It Home Questions:

On Sunday, Mike led us into our sermon series on the book of Jonah, preaching from Jonah chapter 1. Here are a few questions for discussion:

  1. What is surprising in this passage about the actions and the character of Jonah the prophet?
  2. What are some ways we are more like Jonah than we might at first think?
  3. More importantly, how does this passage point us to the mercy of our God?
  4. In view of God's mercy, are there any specific people (or groups of people) you need to repent of self-righteousness toward?

Fighter Verse:

"A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only look with your eyes and see the recompense of the wicked." Psalm 91:7-8 (part of memorizing Psalm 91)

Coming Up:

  • Redeemer Kids Registration -- you can now register kids (infant through 5th grade) for Redeemer Kids here:
  • Young Adult Community Group will gather at the McRostie's home on August 6 right after church.
  • Kickoff Sunday (August 27) -- as we begin our new year of Redeemer Kids classes, and begin a new sermon series, we hope this Sunday will be energizing for church members and a great opportunity to invite those without a church home.
