In our budget for this year, we proposed $35,000 to give to missions. Some of those funds will go to familiar mission partners such as Jumpah Ministries (Cambodia), Mission Church in Montgomery, Wayside Cross, World Relief DuPage/Aurora, and the Acts 29 Catalyst Fund.
Recently, because of your faithful giving, we were also able to give a gift of $4,000 to complete the fundraising efforts of a brand new Acts 29 church plant in Rantoul, IL (a smaller town near Champagne/Urbana).
Here’s a video from the church planter in Rantoul, Michael Johnson. (Sorry, not the same as the olympic runner, and not the same as the Mike Johnson in our church family, either!) Michael became a believer and was first discipled through an Acts 29 church called Christ Community, near the University of Illinois. Now, he’s planting a new church and seeking to reach more people with the life-changing message of Jesus Christ. What a cool picture of the gospel mission!
