There are a lot of ways to get involved in Redeemer Community Church. Here are some of the first steps you can take.
(For more information about anything below, please feel free to contact the church office).
Worship Together on Sundays
The best first step is simply to join us on a Sunday afternoon as we worship Christ together. Check out the “What to Expect” page to learn more about our Sunday gatherings.
Take the Starting Point Course
Our Starting Point Course is designed for newcomers. It covers what we believe as a church and why we do what we do. It’s an opportunity to get to know our history and interact with some of the church’s leaders, as you consider if you want to pursue membership in this church body (although there is no obligation to join the church after you attend the course). Contact Jill at jpoel@redeemeraurora.com to learn more.
Join a Small Group
Churches are not made of programs; they’re made of people.
One of the best ways to learn about our church is to get connected with a community group near you. These groups usually consist of 12-20 people who are building deeper friendships and fellowship in Christ.
Once per month, our community groups have a meal before a time of praying and talking together–and guests are totally invited. Visiting a community group meal is a great way to get to know other people from Redeemer who live in your area.
Currently we have groups meeting in Aurora, Oswego, Montgomery, Wheaton, Yorkville, and Sugar Grove. Contact Jill at jpoel@redeemeraurora.com to learn more.
Serve Others
By God’s design, our disciple-making mission involves every member of the body of Christ. As you get knit into this church, we want to help you find ways to serve others in our community. Our pastors are glad to help you think about how you can use your God-given gifts to serve with other church members and/or with some of our local mission partners (like World Relief or Wayside Cross Ministries or Pregnancy Information Center) to “let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matt. 5:16).
Meet with a Pastor
At any point in the process of getting connected with church life, one of our pastors would be glad to buy you a cup of coffee to find out how we can best serve you, answer any questions you have about the church, or help you get more plugged in.
To meet with a pastor, or for more information about any of the “next steps” above, just fill out a “connection card” on Sunday or contact the church office (630.896-1963 or mailbox@redeemeraurora.com). We look forward to getting connected and helping you get more involved.
P.S. – See our events page to find out more about what’s happening this month.
