End-of-School-Year Celebration with Wesley and Friends

End-of-School-Year Celebration with Wesley and Friends

On Monday, May 20th, several members from Redeemer and First Presbyterian Church will host an end-of-the-school-year celebration with Wesley Johnson and some of his friends. We plan to meet at Redeemer Community Church from 6pm-7:30pm for a time of eating together, enjoying fellowship, singing songs, and sharing about God’s love around a campfire. If you would like to join this night of fun, please contact Brooke Mead at (b_rooke12@hotmail.com) to RSVP.  A hot dog dinner is provided for those that RSVP, and people attending can plan to bring their own lawn chair if desired.

Looking ahead, Redeemer is partnering with First Presbyterian Church in Aurora, hoping to schedule similar events in the future to celebrate and build deeper friendships with teens and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our desire is that more students like Wesley will be able to encounter the love of Jesus through meetings like this, and we want students with disabilities to develop meaningful friendships that will help them grow in their faith. If you know a student that might want to be involved or if you would like to be a part of this growing opportunity to serve others, please contact Josh Anderson (janderson@redeemeraurora.com) or Brooke Mead (b_rooke12@hotmail.com) for more information or questions.
