Ken and his wife, Sue, have been at Redeemer since its inception in 1998. Ken grew up in Oklahoma, came to Illinois to attend Western Illinois University, and then met Sue at a discipleship training school (YWAM) in Tacoma Washington that did missions work in the Philippines. Ken and Sue have eleven children and five grandchildren. Over the years, Ken has served in many capacities at Redeemer; he’s our most tenured children’s ministry worker, and his skills with toddlers are legendary. He’s served as a youth group leader and has led adult small groups for years, something he’s passionate about as a way to apply scripture and develop rich relationships. Ken works for a large corporation that has sold over 100 billion burgers, but when not in the office, he prefers to play games, eat salads, and play and watch sports. Ken loves to play softball, disc golf, be outdoors with his wife, and cheer for the Cubs.
