Gentle and Lowly: Sep 27-Oct 3

In our small groups, we will be studying Dane Ortlund’s book Gentle and Lowly. Below, you will find the recommended chapters for each week, and some discussion questions to ponder while you read.

Chapters to Read: 23 – epilogue

Discussion Questions:

    • “So that in the coming ages He might show the immeasurable riches of His grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus”  Ephesians 2:7.  Does the fleshing out of this verse in chapter 23 change your thoughts or excitement about heaven?  How might it affect the way you are thinking about God and His involvement in your present circumstances?
    • Specifically how has the Lord poured out His rich and infinite benevolence upon you?  Take some time to Remember. Name. Thank Him for the many spiritual and physical blessings He has so graciously lavished upon you.
    • What failures, regrets, or recurring sins keep you from believing, embracing and living in the good of God’s immeasurable riches in kindness toward you?  Bring each one to Jesus. Repent if necessary.  “Let Him love you. Go to Jesus”. Repeat!  “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20
